Checking User Access to a Peer Review File

In the Peer Review module, the Check User's Access option allows administrators who are committee members to check whether users have access to a file. Because file access levels can be different in the Peer Review module, you can check both a user's overall level of access for files as well as their acess level for the Peer Review file. The options for Peer Review file access are "Committee Member," "Reviewer," "ProviderClosedIn RL6:PeerReview, this term refers to any user who is being reviewed in a Peer Review investigation.," and "None."

Prerequisites: You must have the "File Info Center," "View File," "Edit File," and "Check User's Access" functions enabled for your role.

To check user access to a Peer Review file:

  1. Open a Peer Review file.

  2. Click the More Actions button.
  3. Click Check User's Access.
    The Check User's Accessdialog opens.
  4. Search for and select users in the Users field.
  5. Click Check access for current file.
    The list of users with their user ID, role, email address, overall level of file access, and Peer Review file access level appears.
  6. Click OK.
